After beginning her career in the design showrooms at the Chicago Merchandise Mart, Liz joined Chicago-based interior design firm Nate Berkus Associates. While working with the principal and design directors on various large-scale, high-profile residential projects during her years there, Liz developed her layered aesthetic and honed in on her approachable yet sophisticated style.
A move to Los Angeles prompted Liz to pursue work in the editorial side of the industry, sharing her knowledge of interiors, trends, products, and styling as the home décor editor and later senior editor of MyDomaine. After producing stories, home tours, photo shoots, and celebrity home makeovers for the lifestyle website, Liz craved a return to designing full-time and brought her skills to Hollywood-favorite design firm Consort where she oversaw high-end residential and commercial projects as the senior designer.
With a knack for creating timeless but lively spaces, she founded Liz Foster Interiors in 2017. Her wealth of knowledge allows her to bring accessible luxury to her clients in the form of sophisticated and personal interiors. By combining classic forms, varied textures, and well-developed color palettes, LFI creates unique designs for those seeking a chic—but never stuffy—space.
